Easily the best coffee I’ve roasted in the past year. Fruit bomb is an understatement. So much blueberry, strawberry, something tropical but I don’t know if my palate is quite refined enough to pick it out, though I feel as though it’s pineapple and mango. With cream I get a hint of coconut. A decent amount of chocolate but definitely the fruit takes a solid center stage, it’s definitely the headliner here. Possibly the fruitiest coffee I’ve ever roasted. I’m about 99% sure that’s the case. Insanely good. I loved the decaf so much and it was extremely fruity itself, so I had to grab 10 lbs of this one. ZERO regrets. I am going to be very sad when it’s gone. I feel as though my taste buds have been absolutely spoiled by this coffee. If I could rate it more than 5 stars, I would. The Captain nailed it with this one!

Wow, I could not have been more pleased with this coffee from Captain’s. Captain’s never disappoints. I roast on an SR-800 with an extension tube, and I took this batch to a rolling first crack, which occurred at about 425°F on my thermocouple. At that moment, I began the cooling process. The description of the coffee profile and the flavors were spot on—exactly as advertised. Way to go, Captain’s, on sourcing an incredible coffee once again.
