Birdbesafe collars do cut way down on bird deaths. Our 2 cats are allowed out in daylight only and both were rescued semi-ferals. They have worn Birdbesafe collars for years. You have to check the collars regularly so that they don''t get lost. Recently someone put a lost one in our mailbox.

No more dead birds!

We love our giant, orange cat- but he is an absolute terror for birds, chipmunks, squirrels, etc. We have a dog door that he comes in and out of (we also have dogs- but he likes the door best) and he was bringing a bird (or two) into the house EVERY week for a month before I finally looked online for a solution. We have had NO MORE BIRDS brought through the dog door in the 2 weeks he has been wearing his collar and cover- he looks ridiculous, but it's worth it. Especially for the birds.
