I had a rigel before (and still do actually) and the rigel is real good too. What i find a little better in the telrad compared to the rigel is the size of the window where the red circles appear....they are larger in the telrad.....about 30 percent larger, which allows for easier alignment of your eyesight line with the red circles which i think overall provides a little more comfort. Brightness is adjustable. Added tip: when you use these keep BOTH eyes open so you can move with the surrounding sky before you, dont use it with ONLY one eye open, as you are limiting your information as to where you are in the sky and where you are pointing. The telrad adjustment buttons also face YOU , unlike the rigel which make scope alignment easier too. Overall , if it can fit on your scope it is the best finder out there and interestingly it is a very good value. The rigel is a very close second.

Easiest finder I’ve used

The use experience of this device is great. I understand now why it is so popular But it would be nice if it could use common finder shoe for mounting It would be nice if the product was updated
