Good buy for the money
I took these baby's out to what was pretty dark skies. Milky Way was pretty faint where I was. Probably bortle scale of 3. I'm no expert what a good pair of binoculars are but I can see much more stars beyond what my naked eye can see when I look through them into the night sky. When I could faintly make out M31 (Andromeda Galaxy) with my naked eye, the binos really brought the galaxy to show. I also had a nice look at Pleiades Star Cluster with these as well. I had a pair of 10x50's just before I bought these and found them to be harder to work with cause the more magnification you work with, the worse they are if you cannot keep them dead still. The shaking and moving as you try to hold still gets magnified as you magnify (go figure). I find these to be enough zoom as they are for star hopping. Even at 7x for an aspiring beginner, it is still quite a zoom and navigation takes a bit of practice as more stars will show up making tracing just a bit more work. But it's worth it. It's a good first pair that won't break the bank.
