12" BlackHawk alnico - 50 watts

This is my second one. I had my first one in a cab and stupidly traded it off. I just got a new one and loaded into my Two Rock Jet 35 Combo. It is glorious. Get it…less than a Gold and i have A/B with Celestion Gold and like the Blackhawk better…you won’t look back

Bought due to Ben McLeod of all them witches talking this speaker up on his Instagram. Installed in my Morgan and it was a breath of fresh air. I’ve tried every possible speaker in this amp and this is the one. One thing about it that I love compared to other alnico speakers is the “small plunk feel” that is typically there in most alnico speakers , isn’t present here. Hard to describe but it’s a thing. Buy one.

Perfect for Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue

Was looking at replacements for the stock DRRI speaker, and I saw that Celestion Gold was one recommendation. I watched some videos and happened to stumble on WGS speakers. Very glad I did. I also looked at the ET65, but ultimately decided I wanted to go with Alnico, especially after playing a DRRI with a Jensen P12Q. I removed the bright cap from the DRRI at the same time I swapped the speaker. The level of clarity and sparkle is exactly what I was looking for. Even without the bright cap, I can dial in the perfect amount of treble to get that blackface sparkle, but the lows and mids are extremely well balanced. Extremely happy with this speaker.
