12" WGS12L - 200 watts

Extremely versatile speaker with huge headroom

Just got my 4 x WGS12L speakers installed in my Marshall 4x12. This cab is paired with a 100 watt '68 Marshall plexi clone (Metropoulos Metro-Plex Mk II). I couldn't believe the improved clarity and punch these speakers have compared to the Celestion G12H-30 speakers I've been using for almost 20 years. With my Stratocaster, the extra sparkle and chime these speakers give the instrument, without being too harsh in the higher frequencies is extremely pleasing. I had reservations that these speakers wouldn't be as great of a match with my Les Paul, but boy was I wrong. It is pure uncompressed rock and roll tone. The headroom of these speakers is a dramatic improvement over the Celestion G12H-30 and I have no reservations to use them for blues and hard rock.

Got this to replace a haggard EV SRO 12l. Perfect replacement. Took about 5 seconds to dial in, and I love it.
