TIGR Mini+

TL;DR it's great, TIGR locks rule, but get the Mini instead of Mini+ I’ve been a TIGR customer going back to the founding of the company, and as of now have used every lock they've produced. I've been using the Mini for many years now, and decided to get a Mini+ for another of my bicycles so I'd have a little additional flexibility for locking under whatever circumstances might arise. The Mini has a great deal of springiness in the bar; its default position is spread out very wide, so one compresses it to fit the latch over it. This is really nice, because it means that the latch doesn't need to be engaged to stay on the lock while riding. The Mini+ isn't spread wide, and the latch falls off the lock unless the lock is engaged. This means the lock needs to be re-locked after the bicycle is unlocked just to carry it around, which in the long term will amount to twice as much wear on the cylinder and the keys. Overall, I still really like this lock, and the additional size will be nice for double-locking when riding with my partner, but I definitely prefer the standard Mini lock and would recommend it to most customers.
