True Urushi - Uguisu-Iro

Wonderful pen and nib

This is my first urushi pen and I love the color and feel. The pen is glossy and feels like it may be slick when cold, but during the texture becomes more tacky and melds into your hand. I also got the new shogun nib which is very tactile, like a sharp pencil. I enjoy this feedback, both the sound and feel. The Most similar nib I have is a platinum 3776 in terms of feedback, but that also feels like it could rip the paper - the shogun nib has the feedback but no sharpness and feels like it's very soft/gentle on the page. This pen and nib are a joy to write with and look at.
