Potato/Tomato Planter Bag

I would not recommend for potatoes.

If you’re planning on planting potatoes in these, be prepared to have to put steaks inside the bags to keep them open. Any minor wind that comes by collapses the tops of the bags so no sun gets to the seed potatoes. When planting potatoes, in the spring, I start the potatoes toward the bottom of the bag and loosely cover with soil/compost. As the leaves grow, I add more soil to the bag, as you are supposed to do with potatoes. But until the bag is pretty full, they will collapse in. It’s just easier to use a five or 10 gallon bucket with rigid sides.
