As a longtime user of the iconic Muhle R41 GS (stainless steel version), I didn't expect the Lupo 127 to be a worthy competitor. However, in practice, the Lupo proved to be at least as good, and in some respects even better, than the German "shark." Shaving quality on the face and head (BBS): The Lupo 127 delivers the same uncompromising closeness as the R41 GS. Its huge 1.27 mm gap allows it to effortlessly handle coarse, multi-day facial hair and razor-sharp scalp hair in just a couple of passes. Stubble and roughness are completely eliminated. Phenomenal softness and forgivingness: The Lupo 127's main advantage over the R41 is its closed plate (Safety Bar) with hidden blade tips and unique guard geometry. While the R41 GS keeps you constantly on edge, the Lupo 127 offers a much gentler shave. It significantly reduces the risk of microcuts, treacherous blood spots, or irritation, especially on the delicate skin of the neck or when shaving the back of the head blind. Superior head shaving: When working on the scalp, where the skin is thinner and the texture is more complex, the Muhle R41 GS often errs on the side of being too aggressive. The Lupo 127, thanks to its UFO handle and smooth glide guard, glides over the head like butter. It forgives minor angle errors that would result in injury on the R41. UFO handle ergonomics: The heavy UFO handle shifts the balance precisely toward the head of the razor. You don't need to apply any pressure to the razor—under its own weight, this combination cuts hair softly, silently, and incredibly cleanly. Bottom Line: While the Muhle R41 GS is an uncompromising tool that demands pinpoint precision, the RazoRock Lupo 127 is intelligent efficiency. It delivers the same flawless shave, but with far greater comfort, softness, and confidence in every stroke.

Lupo 1.27: Worth Every Bit of the Learning Curve

I am a Japanese wet shaver with relatively sensitive skin and coarse facial hair. Over the years, I have used the RazoRock Game Changer .68-P, .84-P, and 1.05-P, eventually settling on the Game Changer 1.05-P as my favorite razor. Wanting to try something even more efficient, I decided to purchase the Lupo 1.27. On the first stroke, I immediately noticed the blade feel that many reviewers talk about, and honestly, it was a little intimidating at first. However, once I focused on using a very light touch and slow, controlled strokes, I began to understand what makes this razor so special. The efficiency is outstanding, especially on one- or two-day growth. It removes my coarse beard with very few passes while still delivering an exceptionally close shave. For me, the combination of the Lupo 1.27 and Gillette Silver Blue blades has been absolutely fantastic. The blade feel is definitely present, but it never feels harsh. Instead, it provides excellent feedback and a very satisfying shaving experience. I would not consider this an everyday razor for my sensitive skin, but for shaving every other day or every two days, it is simply outstanding. For anyone considering a step up from the Game Changer 1.05-P, I can highly recommend the Lupo 1.27. In my experience, it offers greater efficiency while still maintaining excellent shaving comfort. For me, the Lupo 1.27 was not a replacement for the Game Changer 1.05-P, but an upgrade in efficiency while maintaining excellent shaving comfort.

The best Lupo

Guys if you think it's aggressive - it's not at all. I have extremely sensitive skin, and it's little kitten for me. Works great and it's useable daily without no issues. 95 oc felt harsher on my skin than 1.27 sb. I don't feel any blade also. Highly recommend and don't be intimidated by it.
