Helm MKII 27.5" (Blemished)

A deal so amazing, I still can't believe that it exists

I'd been wanting to upgrade the fork on my e-bike for a while now but never thought I'd see a Cane Creek Helm Mk II with such a huge discount on it. It HAD to be too good to be true...right? It arrived a couple days later (I live in WNC less than an hour's drive of CC HQ) & I was floored when I opened the box. The "blemish" was a small spot, maybe the size of my thumbnail, where there must have been some contaminant on the fork crown when it was anodized. It was otherwise--and most importantly--functionally perfect! But that enormous discount for such a small imperfection?!? Wow. Once I had it installed on my e-bike, you can't even see the "blemish" unless I point it out. I knew the fork was going to perform well on the trails at Ride Kanuga, but any expectations I had were vastly exceeded. It's plush like your favorite recliner but handles like a Ferrari (if a MTB could be a Ferrari). The old fork was a 160mm so I didn't need to adjust the travel. After a couple rides, I bottomed out a few times so I've since installed the air volume piston to increase progressiveness, which only took a few minutes to install thanks to CC's awesome support videos. If I had to do it all over again, I should have bought two.
