Perfect wood for all occasions - it's burns hot, clean and gives off such a distinctive smoke. I've used it with all types of meat, I think it excels with beef but have been happy with all types. My only learning was too ensure it's kept on the smoker while cooking, even in the fire box, before putting on the fire, as it really didn't like lighting from a 'cold' (25⁰c) start even on a hot clean fire, where as the Applewood and cherywood seemed far more amicable.. But that may also be offset newbie error so still gets 5 stars.

Great product, they burn well with very little smoke. I would definitely recommend.
