Iberian Holm Oak Charcoal

On the plus side this charcoal is up there with kamada Joe big block in terms of size and density, it burns really nice and hot but also lasts such a long time, it's absolutely great in that regard. The charcoal also has a lovely subtle scent. However - I may have just been unlucky with the bags I got, but they pop & fizz something rotten when lighting, spitting sparks everywhere in great big fountains, so much so guests have had to move from their spot as they were getting showered with embers. I've also avoided using it during dry periods as I am genuinely worried about starting a neighborhood wild fire. So decent heat and very long lasting but an absolute pig to light, which is a real shame as I wanted something a bit more sustainable. For now I'll stick with the big block 😫
