I have low-porous, thin, soft, 3b/3c curls that easily dry out into messy frizz. For years, JVN's airdry cream was the only thing that gave me any kind of lift and structure, but the heavy nature meant clarifying was a requirement every few days. This does a better job of getting me back to ringlets without any heavy, gross residue. Careful not to overdo it! I only need a dime-size amount for my shoulder length hair. Fortunately, this rinses out cleanly if you do add too much.

My go-to

I've been using this Orange Marmalade Flaxseed gel for several years. I love the definition and shine it gives, and it's not too heavy or overly crunchy for my very fine 2C/3A curls. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up.

Great curl hold

When put on wet hair (and let it be really wet to work best), this provides such great hold and helps keeps my curls whole. There is a slight cast when it dries but that is easily broken up.
