Paw Paw

I planted 2 paw paws & 2 hybrid chestnuts. The chestnuts leafed out beautifully but the paw paws have yet to leaf out. They were all planted in the same area and method according to your directions. Is it normal for pawpaws to leaf out later?

Delivered as expected. I had it out for planting and my wonderful cat chewed it in half. I planted what was left and after over a month it sprouted a tiny leaf this week. Staying hopeful. If it dies ill order another and avoid the feline sabotage. Thank you.

We ordered two paw paw trees and they were perfectly timed with shipping and delivery in April - we live in NJ and once they arrived we immediately planted them. One tree (see attached photo) started growing buds and leaves relatively quickly! This is two months after planting - we were so excited to see some growth! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because our second tree has not had the same progress, no buds at all are forming. They are planted relatively close by so I’m not sure why one would produce over the other. Hoping it will maybe next year but we don’t have high hopes. Overall though great experience and happy with our one tree that seems to be growing, slowly but surely!
