Apex Matte Cream

This is a true medium firm hold. This is only slightly stronger than rio, and Canyon is a small step up from apex. These products are all around medium-firm hold level but not strong. I have thick hair that is slightly longer than short, and none of these can properly hold my hair at the end of the day. But if you have short or want a lightweight hold, then they're great products. I don't recommend them for taming thick hair generally. Canyon is supposed to be their strongest, so if that doesn't do it, I doubt any other lodestar will be strong enough for me.

Apex Matte Cream is honestly very good. It gives a strong matte finish without making my hair look dry or stiff. I have short, straight-ish wavy hair, and this cream actually brings out my waves and keeps them looking good all day. It’s easy to apply, doesn’t feel heavy, and has a really nice smell. Overall, it’s a great product if you want natural texture, a matte look, and all-day control.
