Ranunculus Bulbs - Secret Garden Mix

Low Germination and NOT Purple

I bought this mix twice because the colors were so pretty in the picture. I soaked the corms and pre-sprouted them. About 40% of them did not germinate or rotted. I planted the rest, mulched, and fertilized them. They were half pink and half violet/red. There were no purple flowers. I planted these in front of the building that I landscape for with a specific color palette. I was looking forward to keeping these and storing them, but I pulled them and planted some annuals.

I grew the second half of the bulbs and they all grew! 100% germination, that’s quite good for a first time bulb grower. Anyway they’re blooming and I’m so happy with them. Just thought I’d share photos. Only complaint is that they often grow sideways but that seems to just be a bulb plant thing. Nothing a cage support can’t fix!

Disappointed

Wish I had read reviews, definitely not as expected. Corms are dime size or smaller fragments.
