Deer Attack

Seeds sprouted well....thinned them and they were starting to run. Then the deer decided to attack! Ate the plants down to the ground. I've planted watermelons many times here without fencing them in and had no problems. I did fence in my okra and sunflowers....should have done same for watermelons it seems
