Rancilio Upgrade
I have had the new Pro X for a week now and slowly learning how to master it. The first thing I found was that the portafilter does not sit well in my rocky grinder, not a huge problem but annoying to use. Trying to set the parameters was a bit tricky for an oldie (i am 81) but i think I've got it now. The hardest thing is frothing the milk and I still am having problems, a video explaining the difference to my old Sylvia 3 would be a big help if available. BUT I LOVE IT. Ron

In love with my Rancilio Silvia Pro X!
I watched a ludicrous amount of coffee machine reviews and ended up choosing the Rancilio because of the plethora of raving reviews about the ease of use and reliability. It has exceeded my expectations!

Solid build, makes great espressos
I had the breville dual boiler coffee machine before. That one had poor built quality so I upgraded to Silvia Pro X. This one is built like a tank. It makes a good espresso, and the steam wand is powerful as well. There is a bit of a learning curve for steaming milk with a more powerful steam wand. It took way longer on Breville but it was easier to work with. The biggest cons on this machine would be the drip tray and the hot water. You have to tilt the tray to take it out, which means if it was full, water would spill. The hot water comes from the steam boiler and it just tastes horrible. I use an electric kettle to boil my water if I ever want a long black.
