Zinnia Seeds - Pulcino Mix

a perfect zinnia

i started these late as a trial since the seed was unavailable in spring. i think i may have seeded in july. the plants therefor are still young, it is late august. the flowers are a full single to semi double, but nothing like the photos here. however, the color range is broad: white, yellow orange, pink, red, near purple and well balanced. 196 out of 200 plugs grew with maybe 3 seeds per cell. plants bloomed in 5 weeks and are currently 10-12 inches tall, side branching and bushy. flowers produce a stem long enough to cut and have held up in a vase for 5 days nicely. the largest flower is 4 inches diameter. i think this will be my go to zinnia for next year, replacing thumbelina. i have a packet of 1000 magellan seeds for next year but they are so expensive i cannot justify doing those again, even when getting the seed at 50% off (NE Seed). i usually plant 2,000-3,000 zinnia each summer so pulcino will be my choice for 2026.
