Fantastic player. A bit bigger and heavier than the DX340. Sound Quality is excellent. Very dark background, much more darker than all DX340 amps. Virtually no hiss with even the most sensitive IEMs such as Clara. Beautiful screen and responsive. Highly recommend if you've got the funds

DAP Excellence

How I wound up with the DX340MAX TI: While at NYC CanJam (2026), I listened to the Astell & Kern SP4000 and I was immediately impressed by its sonic performance. As an audiophile, aka, nut job who spends money in pursuit of musical delight, I purchased this unit from Bloom. However, the honeymoon was short lived. While music playback from the SP4000 is about as good as it gets, I became immediately disenchanted with its technical performance. In all fairness, when I say technical performance, I am specifically referring to the device's battery life. For such a feature enriched DAP, it's hard to understand why Astell & Kern did not give more thought to how functions like DAR and HDM would put a strain on the battery's life. Nevertheless, the search for a comparable replacement began. I was quite ecstatic to learn that iBasso was launching a MAX version of the DX340, which in and of itself is a phenomenal DAP. Other key factors in considering this device: Outstanding customer service (Shout out to Paul) User replaceable battery Power to drive most full sized headphones All in all, this a superb DAP and as always, Bloom is just the absolute best.
