I bought Byredo's Gipsy Water as a special gift for my daughter. It is an expensive purchase, but worth the cost. This is a subtle but lingering scent that is clean and warm enough for everyday use (amber, sandalwood, vanilla), but the woody top notes make it special enough for evening/ occasion wear. The 100 ml will last for ages as you don't need to use much at a time. Delighted with this purchase, though obviously it's a special treat because of the expense.
