This roaster is fantastic!

Such an upgrade

I've been happily roasting my own beans for years--first with a heat gun and a bowl, and then with a FreshRoast 540. But hot air only gets you so far. I looked at a bunch of different alternatives, but settled on Sandbox because I decided I didn't really want more CONTROL over my roasts; I wanted more consistency. And the Sandbox delivers. The app is easy to connect to the device, and the stock roast profiles work great. Batch size is limited, of course, but it's no smaller than I was able to roast in the FreshRoast 540. The cooling tray is amazingly fast, and strips nearly all of the remaining chaff from the beans.
