Sandbox Smart R1 Coffee Roaster

I’m still getting the hang of it, but so far I like the results. It produces a pretty consistent roast and it’s very customizable. It seems that the temperature gauge reports slightly low so I have to just be mindful of when it reaches first crack. I’m still in the “dialing it in” phase, but I will say this: I haven’t had one bad roast with this machine. That isn’t the challenge. It’s tweaking the roast profile to bring out the desired characteristics that I’m still getting the hang of. I’ve heard good things about the Behmor and the Skywalker v1, so it might be worth a comparison before dropping your hard earned cash and committing to a roaster.

Wonderful Roasting Experience

I've been roasting for a while. This is the nicest roaster I've used. I get good results just using the Light Roast profile, but I like knowing I can adjust the settings and create my own manual profile if I want to. My first roast right out of the box went very well.

The ordering experience was easy and received the roaster quickly.
