Fun backpacking rod
I was specifically looking for a rod I can have in my day pack since I like to hike near streams, creeks and small rivers and never have a fishing pole on me. This rod doesn’t disappoint. This is my first Tenkara and I’m already catching fish on it and having a blast doing it. It’s light weight enough that it will stay in my pack. I’m in the Ozarks and have caught blue gill, brown bass and creek chub my first couple of times out with it. It’s been fun and I highly recommend it.

~2.5 oz and a perfect backcountry companion. I'm new to tenkara, but it's felt like an easy transition from fly fishing to this as an ultralight tenkara backpacking companion. I don't feel guilty about extra gear weight on on multi day trips with this rod. Tenkara as a fishing style has its advantages and disadvantages, and this rod is pretty perfect for my needs on small streams or alpine lake mouths.

First Rod
Got the Kaida as my first rod with the goal of using it out backpacking. The rod has been great and allowed me to catch my first rainbow trout. Customer Service has been great with having Brent answer a question I had about some products.
