I bought an extra bass plate for my second camera, but find that in the field, the main metal plate is a little clunky in use. I prefer the Peak Design strap that has tethers that can fix to optional different places including the camera, my L bracket or a quick disconnect loop for easy options.

Well made for it's propietary purpose.
The Arca tripod adapter for the Lemur Strap is well made and the screw is short enough that it's possible to put some torque on it without it bottoming out unlike several of the after market plates I've bought. One caveat though is that because of the nature of the way the system works, the plate is oriented 90 degrees from a standard plate so if your tripod's arca clamp has a big knob it may not work for you.

This strap is very comfortable!
This strap is very comfortable. The pad easily stays in place if you leave the clip in the open position. My previous strap kept coming loose at the connection on the camera and failed once. I was excited that the Lemur strap seemed more secure with less risk of failure and thus far has proved solid with movement. While I'm not a huge tripod user, I do really like that tripod mount is part of the strap so I can easily use one if I need to and also I don't have to hunt down the little part because it's always with me. It's less to lose and that's always a win! Also the tool is included in the base of the strap so no hunting it down. The design quality of this strap is pretty great!
