Viltrox AF 35mm F1.8 EVO Full- Frame Lens for Sony E-Mount

Very sharp lens

This lens despite not being the Flagship LAB lens is surprisingly very sharp, very light, and just gives you perfect sharpness. I have both lenses the LAB and EVO lens and I do honestly use this lens more simply because it's a very light lens especially if your use to having your lens hanging from your neck. In my case I stsrted using this lens with the new A7RVI, and was quite surprised how well it performed with tracking, and very quick to focus. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite lenses.

I recently bought the 85mm EVO and was blown away. Ordered this 35 mm on release amazing.

The value for cost of these lenses are unmatched. My only complaint is close focusing distance. I have the 14mm f4 which has an incredible close focusing distance. For b roll video or detail photo shots for commercial work. I wish the close focus distance was better on the 35. The 85 is acceptable being 85 mm the 35 to me is a little far away however in practice if it is an issue I just switch to the 85 or sometimes the 14 depending on the look we are going for. Thanks Viltrox for making some amazing quality lenses for affordable price. My lenses will and do get damaged working in the outdoors having a lens I’m not afraid to get a little messed up is important to me.

F1.8 And Be There

Seriously, on the first few days of using this lens I have hardly strayed from f1.8. The results are impressive with absolute sharpness guaranteed nearly all the time. Auto focus is fast enough , including in low light circumstances and it's size is just about perfect. The lens construction and weight reminds me of my Zeiss Loxia 50mm f2. The next real rest will be an evening dance festival followed by an evening panigiri. These always have dodgy lighting. I'm not expecting any disappointing results and confidently expect to be posting some examples on the Viltrox users site over the weekend.
