Distant Drums

So far, so good

My little Distant Drummer seems happy in its new location, though I confess I didn’t make it all the way to the recommended 6’ deep for its planting hole. The rose arrived in excellent condition and its light-deprived leaves greened up almost immediately and is now leafing out more fully. It’s still early days, but so far there’s no reason to be anything but fully satisfied and quite optimistic.

I was very excited when I saw a bud on my plant but was disappointed when it finally opened. It was not the rose in the picture, it was just pink, not two toned as shown and described.

The plant came almost dead with all the canes broken and the Heirloom team asked to clean it up and still put it in ground when it was clearly almost dead…over a week or so later I reached out saying the remaining plant is dying and drying/rotting and providing pictures of the same…they still said it has a lot of life left and wait for 4-5 weeks…it’s been 3 weeks sick since that conversation and the plant is almost dead. Let’s see what they do about it after 4-5 weeks when I reach out to them. Horrible experience. I’ve ordered multiple times from Heirloom and lately the roses are coming in worse and worse conditions.
