Exactly what I needed
My LHBS did not have this. They had some US substitutions which would have been fine for many applications and color adjustment. However I was making an Alt beer and wanted German. I accidentally ordered this instead of the “special”. My Alt turned out great (recipe from Brewing Classic Styles). I would recommend this gently roasted dark malt for any German style beer, or anytime a dark roasted malt is called for for subtle coffee/chocolate grainy notes.
