I don't know why yall call it the Plain Jane skirt. It is full of drama. It has soo much fullness at the lower half of the skirt, but not too much gathering at the waist. All the pocket work is done on the front piece and french seamed if you want. The hem facing is key to the swishiness so don't skip that. I made one in cotton, and that feels very "It" girl. Then I made one in a rayon/linen blend, and that feels like forest fairy.
