Cheaply made. Unfortunately can’t return as it was a sale item

I ordered a size too small for my bunion issue, thats on me, but the 'lip' on the sole of the shoe where gour heel rests is really awkward to settle into. Not sure at all why its there; it is made of a synthetic material (think cuff around a sweater) so its not sturdy if its supposed to keep your herl in place.
