I contemplated getting a barbell and plates used and realized I was able to use my HSA dollars on these bumper plates and my barbell. I like that they're pretty easy to grab and I'm using them on my 2nd floor office/workout room. Again, love to have gym equipment in my home that functions well so I don't have to drive an hour round trip to go to a gym and wait for equipment to be available to use.

Somewhat of a guilty pleasure buying the red 55-pound bumper. Half if it was just because I like the look of it. I plan to display black, blue and red on the rack. Speaking of the rack, I like how my M2 is high enough to put these on vs my old tree where I had to bend over more. Jury is out where I grab the blue 45 or the red 55 for squats, etc.

I have the M2 with weight stack and have been using some old iron plates. Was torn between all black bumpers, competitor plates and rubber handle plates. Decided in the end to go colored bumpers. Home gym is in our basement, and the bumpers look good. Even if I decide not to store them on the M2, they will still look good on a tree rack. I am used to iron plates where I can grab with one hand, but as I get older it is probably best practice to use two hands anyway.
