I have only used the cooling vest once since I got it last week, but it seems to be working well. Oddly, the thing that I like best about it is where the zipper is placed. My biggest concern with getting the vest was that it needed to be safe for my service Dog to wear under his vest. I used to volunteer as a character (Louise, the meerkat) at our local zoo. We wore ice vests under our costumes, but we were told to watch for certain symptoms because when you’re overheated the ice vests can cause pneumonia. That’s why I was concerned about the swamp cooler vest. A Ruffwear rep 89 bucks an89 bucks a month assured me that it would be safe for Nash to wear under his service dog vest so I decided to give it to go.

great for the SF Bay area temps.

It has been easy to get on and off while Mylo is wearing his harness. All i need do is to unclip the harness and leave it hanging. slipping his legs through the holes is very easy as they are large. There is no spot that rubs on him. As it dries out I pour water over the back. I'd highly recommend.

Stays wet for a long time.

Good purchase, fits well under the vest/harness, stays wet for a long time and allows us to be active in hotter temperatures.
