Love my new Jane’s!

My first pair of American Duchess shoes, but I go way back to the Royal Vintage days and have many pairs I still delight in wearing. The leather on the Jane Oxfords is thick and quite firm but that isn’t a criticism at all. It does, however, require me to gently break them in which I l usually find takes some time. My Claire Oxfords were similar when new. I have a wide foot with a high arch and would have purchased a wide fit had it been available. I have never found sizing up to help with width, so prefer to use my own methods to eventually ensure a comfortable fit. I love the simple elegance of this shoe and know I will be wearing it for many years. The glacé finish is lovely to behold.

Just what I needed

I was so happy to get these for everyday wear. My co-worker heard me talking about them and said, "I didn't know you were a cosplayer". I'm not, but I bragged about the sale. The following week, she was waiting for her order!
