I've paired mine with a set of surplus SPEAR/BALCS panels I've had for a while. The fit is great and there's no play between the carrier and the panels, it conforms well to the body and doesn't print noticeably through medium to heavy outer clothing layers like a flannel shirt or a hoodie.

Quality and fit are great. Have yet to get plates, soft armor, and get some time in the field, so grains of salt. One issue is the cumberbun loops are directly next to the Velcro patches. So I see there might be some premature wear if you are taking on and off frequently. I don't like to put on over head. Instead having one side open for ease of putting on over garments. The hook side catches/runs the loop side while sliding the straps into place through the side strap loops. Would be nice to have a small gap between the loops and Velcro. So you can easily get the cumberbun straps through without rubbing the Velcro pieces together.
