The door is super heavy, extremely sturdy and great. My one draw back is that the installation video did not match the actual install. It wound up being more complicated. It was supposed to be installed w L shape brackets on the side of the doors on the video, but this one was attached to the lintel. My lintel is rounded, so we had to mount the bracket to the bottom of the lintel instead of the back. Which meant drilling multiple holes and adjusting the brackets to sit over the new screw placement. Product is amazing and really helped fix the smoke problem I had with the other, cheaper doors, I would encourage hiring a professional to install them though.

Very well made looks great but after building small fire glass in right side door shattered emailed customer service no response

A quality product that looks great and functions nicely. I sent photos and dimensions of my fireplace opening with the order and the factory modified the plates a bit to insure a good fit over and around the opening. Instructions were easy to follow. My only complaint is that not enough insulation was provided, but you can use any mineral wool type insulation from stores like Home Depot. Be advised that if you have a standard sized brick fireplace, the install should be much simpler than it was for my custom stone fireplace. I had to drill a couple of holes, modify the connection hardware and add some thicker insulation to insure a proper seal . The doors are heavy and you mighr consider removing before the install. They are a bit tricky to re-install and adjust. It took a few hours but well worth the time. We love the new look.
