I love writing with a fine nib. I have a small collection of pens with EF nibs, and I'm very happy with their writing. But I didn't expect that the Posting nib could write so much smoother and finer than any EF nib in my collection.

Ultimate note-taking pen

The Pilot Custom Heritage 912, equipped with a SFM (Soft Fine Medium) nib, is an excellent addition to any pen collection. It could be the “ultimate note-taking pen.” I currently have the Soft Fine and SFM nibs, and I suspect a Soft Medium will be next.

Just as listed, and the Pilot 912 lives up to its reputation. It writes beautifully out of the box and no hesitation or skipping even after several days of no use. I’m delighted with the posting nib, which is the smoothest of my several needlepoint, etc., type nibs. Service from Pensachi was excellent—fast, very well packaged, safe shipping.
