Phenomenal Equipment for Home or Lite Commercial Use!
I did a lot of research between this model and other competitors whom shall remain nameless, and at the end of the day I am so glad I spent the extra money for this machine. It's SO strong, almost overbuilt. The bearings are very smooth and make using the sled a pleasure. There are no catch-spots, only smooth operation. I love how the seat flips out of the way for hack squats. If I were to nit-pick, there are only a few things I would say the following: 1. The hack-squat shoulder pads are not width-adjustable, only height. My shoulders are on the narrow side, and I am not comfortable using this machine with heavy weights. I will likely build a bracket that allows me to adjust the pads inward an inch or so on each side. 2. The machine is low to the ground, and the weight horns are also low which makes loading the sled a bit tricky if you are limited on space. The Hammer Strength machines allow weight loading to occur above the waist, whereas this machine requires loading below the waist. This can put strain on your back if you aren't cautious. 3. The sled's guide bars are narrow, so entering and exiting the press position is a little tricky. 4. There is no weight storage built into the machine. These are the only items that detract from the near-perfect machine, but none of them were showstoppers for me personally.
