TAURUS Widebody Black Bamboo - Deck

Great Feel!

I am pretty new still to surfskating but man does this deck feel amazing. I was gifted a penny highline surfskate and although it was a great board to start on, I just couldn’t get to the next level of dropping in and gaining speed. I purchased the Taurus deck, upgraded to Waterborne wheels, and transferred the Penny/Waterborne surf adapter to the Taurus deck. The wide body really helps with stability and more surface area to carve. Very well made deck and cannot wait to acquire more from this company.

A serious upgrade for skate park riding!

Bravo Waterborne! The Taurus deck that I bought from you has allowed me to enjoy my sessions in skate parks even more than I had been. I started surf skating transition in skate parks in mid-June and I had been using a 9 inch wide deck with no concave to it at all. I had enjoyed skating on that deck until...this past Monday when I got on my new WB deck for the first time. My old board is now obsolete. I immediately became addicted to the concave shape and the additional width of the Taurus. I had been concerned that I might not like giving up the 2 inches (34"-32") in length from my previous board, but I quickly realized that I liked the shorter deck even more because I feel like I have more control of it. The Taurus actually feels even more stable to me than my previous deck because of the increased width. And it also makes me feel very confident on drop-ins as I learn them. It just looks more stable to me when I'm getting ready to drop in. I strongly recommend the Taurus for using in the skate parks.

Solid

I really like this deck! I'm fairly new to the sport, but have quickly developed a preference for wider boards with at least a moderate concave. And that is what this deck is all about. I originally threw some Carver C7 trucks on it that were on a narrower Carver deck and the experience was way better. Especially the wider tail. I am going to put the Grasp Pad.23 trucks on it tomorrow as soon as the UPS drops them on my porch and I am anticipating a glorious combination. Also, the black bamboo is cool as hell.
