Jupiter 10SA Brought My 5-Watt Tweed Princeton to Life After Replacing the Jensen P10R

The Jupiter 10SA is an excellent match for a 5-watt 5F2A Tweed Princeton with a 10" baffle. I replaced a Jensen P10R with it, and the difference was immediately noticeable — the amp sounded bigger, warmer, and more balanced while still keeping that classic tweed character intact. I also paid for Jupiter’s break-in service, and it was absolutely worth it. Right out of the box the speaker already had a smooth, seasoned feel, with warm lows, woody mids, and sweet highs that never get harsh. Even with only 5 watts, the amp feels fuller and more dimensional, while still retaining that responsive tweed sag and breakup. Compared to the Jensen P10R, the 10SA feels less spiky in the top end and more authentically vintage overall. It really brought the amp to life and feels like the perfect speaker for a Tweed Princeton-style combo.

Awesome speaker, full and sparkly, everything an American Alnico should be. Perfect replacement for my old Silvertone.

Significant upgrade from the stock speaker in my Vibro Champ Reverb. My first experience with an alnico speaker and the difference in articulation is nuts. Great speaker.
