I had a very positive experience with this brewing starter kit. The package arrived well organized, the equipment feels solid and good quality, and everything was easy to understand as a beginner. I appreciated that the kit includes the essential tools needed to get started without making the process feel overwhelming. Overall, it was a great purchase and a fun way to begin homebrewing. Fantastic kit, except for one hitch

I recently brewed my first batch of beer and thoroughly enjoyed the kit! The stainless steel was easy to clean and made boiling, fermenting, and bottling a breeze compared to my past experience with cheaper brew kits. My one area of discomfort with this kit was that the immersion wort chiller is difficult to fully immerse into the brew kettle, since it gets caught on the thermometer. This ends up forcing a lot of fenangling just to get the chiller submerged into the wort, which is stressful when you want to get things cooled down as quickly as possible. I ended up figuring out that if I get the angle right I can slip the thermometer between the coils of the wort chiller to fit the whole thing into the kettle-- but this feels to me like a pretty big design oversight. Other issues were that the faucet adapter for the chiller didn't fit my sink (which isn't NB's fault) and that the paint in the burner quickly began to bubble and burn off when the heat was turned up. That said, I still want to give the kit 4 stars since in every other respect I had a great experience with it.
