Smells like burnt landfill

I ordered a couple bras and liked the way one of them fit, but they smelled absolutely awful. Like a combo of burnt plastic and landfill. I figured I could just wash them to get rid of the smell, so I exhanged the one that didn't fit for the correct size, and started washing. Well, I've now washed that original bra 6 times, with a bunch of different methods, and it smells as bad as the day I got it. Bad enough that there's no way I can wear it in public. In the meantime, the new bra arrived and it smells fine, but I've worn it 3 times and it's now stretched to a size larger. So, I guess if you're between sizes, size down and then hope it smells okay? I've called customer service twice and no one's ever picked up or responded to the messages I left. Would love to not be out hundreds of dollars on unwearable bras, but hopefully this review helps someone else.

I've purchased the Paloma 3 times and it has become my go-to sports bra. The long line and sturdy fabric are compressive but not restrictive, which is exactly what I need for high-impact workouts.
