This fork is unreal! Truly an enduro fork for your dirt jumper! Super solid, shockingly supple, and dead quiet. The 27.5 lowers cause no issues for foot jams either which I was conserned about. The only potential dealbreaker for some is the fork not being able to get stiff enough. I’m 130lb and running max pressure, and it’s about as soft as it can be without bottoming out on moderate flat landings. If you want it stiffer you’re out of luck. Dialing on tons of compression isn’t an ideal solution either. If you read this Cane Creek I think it would be worth your time to run simulations of this fork with max pressure to see if the peak psi at bottom out exceeds what your enduro fork with max volume spacers was designed to withstand. Overall an incredible fork for anyone who wants their suspension to move and is on the lighter side.

Very unreal!
I’ve ridden a lot of forks over the years, but the Cane Creek Helm DJ stands out as one of the most confidence-inspiring suspension forks I’ve ever run on a dirt jumper. From the first session, the build quality and tuning range made it clear this fork was designed for serious riders who demand precision. The 35mm stanchions give it a stout, planted feel on big hits, and it tracks beautifully through rough lips and sketchy landings. It’s incredibly tunable too — the independent high- and low-speed compression adjustments let me dial it in exactly how I like it, whether I’m boosting jumps at the local park or hitting techier slopestyle features. Even the air spring ramp-up feels smooth and predictable, with none of the harsh bottom-out some forks give you on flat landings. Aesthetically, it looks just as premium as it performs. The matte black finish and subtle graphics are clean and understated — it doesn’t scream for attention, but it absolutely earns it when you’re riding. Bottom line: If you’re looking for a dirt jump fork that balances plush small bump sensitivity with the stiffness to go big, the Helm DJ is worth every penny. It’s built to take abuse and delivers a pro-level feel without compromise.
