Honing Steel, 10" Dark Pakkawood

Great, great tool.

I chose the Gunther Wilhelm honing steel above others because of the pakawood handle, which it shares with my GW knives. Most others have plastic handles, as did the one I finally wore out after some 40 years of assiduous application to my knives, none of which has been technically "sharpened," for as long as four decades in my knife block. The GW steel is an awesome replacement.
