Thanksgiving Blend: sip slowly and deeply!

Just to provide a little context, let me say that I think there are no better coffees than Mystic Monk's medium-roast Colombian and Fair Trade Ethiopian blends. I maintain multiple subscriptions to each to keep my pantry well stocked. I can (and do) drink them every day without ever tiring of their full flavors. Having said that, the medium-dark-roast Thanksgiving Blend more than holds its own. When its availability season comes around each year, I stock up on enough to take its place in my daily rotation for several months. Its slightly darker (and very moderately sweeter) flavor makes it perfect both as a standalone daily sipper and as a complement to holiday desserts. I buy all my coffees as whole beans from the Monks; a moderately coarse grind, fresh before each pot, and then prepared in a French press extracts sumptuous flavors from all their coffees, and in particular the Thanksgiving Blend.

Shipping was very fast and I knew where the package was at all times. opening the box was heaven ... the coffees give off such a wonderful aroma! Coffee selections are great and they taste so good.

I was glad to get a flavored coffee that wasn’t too light. I am a dark roast fan and the medium-dark roast Thanksgiving blend was good. I am kind of a coffee snob, but I give it a solid 7 out of 10.
