A whippy gym-class barbell? You're not serious yet. A 1,500 LBS / 680 KG slab of stiff steel with knurl that bites? Now we're talking. This is a powerlifting bar. Not a hybrid. Not a "good enough." Built to IPF specs without the jacked up certification price tag: 29 mm shaft, powerlifting-only knurl marks, center knurl, aggressive knurling

I'm a relatively new lifter who found out I love powerlifting. Going from a cheap no name bar to this is like riding a a rocket riding machine at the supermarket to actually launching off into the stars. Feels great.

It's an Olympic Powerlifting Bar
Not much to say other than it's a quality Olympic bar. Got it on sale so that made it extra good value. One thing of note is that this bar has some serious knurling. If you have soft, delicate skin on your palms I'd strongly suggest straps, and with that knurling, you definitely won't have to worry about them slipping.
