Keychron K2 Pro QMK/VIA Wireless Mechanical Keyboard

Great hardware as always. Via support seems to be firmware dependent.

Great piece of hardware. I have an original Q1, and I wouldn't be able to justify telling anyone but a fanatic to spend the Q-series cash over this - and I love that keyboard. It has a good weight and the foam factory-installed foam makes it sound "great" to a discerning 80%+ right out of the box. It had a good feel with the banana switches, and really came alive with a set of Boba U4Ts (I have OG Pandas in the Q1 and like that curve/activation weight) and a simple tape mod. Disassembly/re-assembly was easy-peasy. HOWEVER, the board is still marketed - like H1 title marketed - as "Keychron K2 Pro QMK/VIA Wireless Mechanical Keyboard." I spent a lot of time mapping keys in Via when I realized that the firmware was a minor - MINOR - version behind, i.e. 1.0 to 1.1. Upon updating, Via no longer recognizes the hardware, and the now compulsory "Launcher" app doesn't recognize my Via keymap. The Launcher json also uses a more abstract mapping scheme, so hand-editing is tedious and non-obvious. So... I spent some time re-mapping all those keys after the firmware update, and am back to loving the keyboard. Via vs Launcher doesn't matter to me, but the lack of transportability or clear messaging about the lack thereof was disappointing. Still 9/10 recommend, especially if you know about that little quirk going in and can limit yourself to doing it once.

New Keyboard

Hello! This is my first time purchasing anything from your website. I am in Europe and expected arrival time is 10-20 business days. Knowing that it will always end up being over 20 business days in that case, I was very much suprised when it arrived not even after 2 weeks of purchasing. The keyboard sounds even better in person as I'm typing this review than it was in the video. I would just like to point out that I wish there was QWERTZ keycaps option. Ofcourse I can't just change Y and Z place because of the shape of the keycaps, but other than that - I am very happy with product that I got and it was worth every cent!

Best mechanical keyboard I've used

I had 3 mechanical keyboards prior to this one and all of them exhibited double input behavior, so I'm happy to finally find a keyboard that doesn't do that. This is my first Keychron and I'm surprised by how smooth the switches are. I also really like this 75% layout, you get a couple more keys compared to the competition like the GMMK PRO 75%. Having QMK/VIA integration was super helpful as it let me map the SCREENSHOT button to INSERT, something I occasionally need for work. This keyboard doesn't have the best latency for gaming but it's not noticeable to me; the ergonomics are much more important to me considering I use this for work too. My only complaints are the non-backlit keys, south-facing LEDs and short 4' cable.
