Originally owned a M900 Series with Front & Rear Cameras plus a Paired set of batteries for travel/24 hour Full-Time Parking monitoring. One accident, Conditions not favorable for Black/White assessment, however my insurer found be innocent and my deductible for collision repair was reimbursed 100% at $2,500.00. The underwriter was amazed at the video quality and clarity. Add in the Accident location, Speed & Driving history captured on Camera files, what's not to love and reasoning for purchase. The old model, large integrated camera, got smoking hot in the front windshield, nearly year-round in ATL, those days GONE. Loving the new Plus - Remote Head unit. Took about 4 hours to swap, happy as a clam! Thank you BlackView!!

Great camera system, very discrete!

I have had dashcams for years, but this is the first time with BlackVue. Purchasing online was simple and the order arrived promptly. Pretty easy to set up, and the image quality and camera functions work great. I really like the small camera setup, with the "brains" tucked away somewhere other than the windshield. I was able to fit the control unit neatly out of the way in the glovebox. An included SOS button would have been good to be included, as I had to buy that separately. Every camera has a method to trigger a manual recording when needed, and the at the price of this system that should have been included. That said, the recording functions work perfectly each time I take a drive, which is really the purpose for me. Good quality build on every piece, and all wiring is supplied for either hardwire or 12v. The app is less easy to work with. Sometimes it's hard to get access with my phone, particularly if the car is on as Carplay seems to interfere. Once you are logged in to the camera, the app generally works ok. Two things I would like to see is a delay for the parking mode and the ability to switch from one hotspot to another automatically. I also purchased the B-130x battery, and I like how the camera automatically switches into parking mode as soon as the car is turned off. However, when I leave the car, it detects the door closing as an "Impact" and informs me of an impact the next time I turn on the car. Also, since it's tied into my car's hotspot, it disconnects from the Cloud as soon as the car is switched off. That's ok, except when I park at home in the garage, I'd like it to switch over to my home wifi automatically. Switching it manually each time is a pain, especially since it doesn't "save" the hotspot information so you need to discover, re-enter password and connect if you want to change hotspot. Tip if you have an iPhone and you have trouble connecting to the camera if your phone is also connected to your car's wifi for CarPlay; plug your phone into the car so it'll use the direct connection for CarPlay and it'll be easier to log into the camera network.
