Excellent but Sizing is Off

These boots are absolutely amazing. Note to Lucchese: I am a size 12EE, through customer service and after receiving my first pair that I sent back did I find out that these fit very narrow. I ordered a 14 EE and they are perfect. For me, I needed to go up 2 sizes. This should be disclosed!!

Sharkskin boots

These are my 3rd pair of Lucchese boots. Ostrich, Caiman and now Sharkskin. Each pair have the same size designation. This latest pair are a bit "snug" and I am hoping they relax a bit after some time on my feet. Appearance is typical Lucchese - meaning high quality. My first 2 pair were made in the US, this pair is designated as Mexico. Regardless - I think Lucchese makes a high quality boot. I look forward to adding a Lizard and perhaps another Caiman.

Narrow shaft, like crazy narrow

I hate giving these a 4 and probably shouldn't as they seemed really nice, just like my other Lucchese boots. The issue is the shaft! It is SO narrow I literally couldn't get my foot flat in the boot. I am not fat, but I do have larger, muscular calves. Still, my other boots fit fine. Perfectly, in fact. These weren't just a little tight in the shaft, they were painfully so and very hard to get back off my legs since my heel wasn't at the bottom... first world problems for sure. I have no idea what kind of bird legs one has to have to fit these boots, but if you have them, these really are beautiful and I am jealous. You get to be jealous of my calves, though.
