I purchased this amp to stand in for the McIntosh 611 that’s currently in the shop. It’s doing an excellent job holding up its end. I will have it as a back up for either my home theater or my 2 channel setup in the future. Beats the heck outa getting another 611 !!

Works for me

So far, so good. I’ve had other Emotiva products; some have lasted and been great, some have died and can’t seem to be repaired. I have another Monoblock amp from Emotiva, and a bi-amped Emotiva amp (for my center speaker in a Home Theater setting). I do hear more things, at least in music, at a louder setting. This Emotiva plays well with its cousins, and I’m liking what I hear (yeah, yeah, all kinds of specs and whatnot). Plus, this amp is half the weight of my other Emotiva amplifiers, which is no small principle.

Best money spent from a budget audiophile!

The XPA-1 monoblock amplifiers are hands down the best! Zero distortion. Zero coloring. Zero noise floor. The imaging, the depth and width of the sound stage, the headroom and dynamics, and the overall performance is all astonishing! I highly recommend these to anyone in search of the best for music and movies, because these are wonderful for live acoustic Pink Floyd performances, to the intense action scenes of John Wick films! I can't wait to get 7 more for the home theater I'm going to build!
